Simply Horses opens the player to a new mode of play, both advantageous and detrimental. With this mod, one can catch his own horse, break it, and use it in one of three ways- to race around the world and push the borders of their domain, to trample over enemies, or to make day-to-day work and travel a bit more doable. There are also new tools to help you, from simple storage carts to homely wagons.

Installation:

Download and install Minecraft Forge
Download Simply Horses Mod zip file
Put Simply Horses Mod zip file into your /.minecraft/mods folder. Do not unzip it.
Done

For MAC: If you have issues with SparrowAPI.class or SimplyID.class, move both files into minecraft.jar

Horses (mainly Clydesdales) now take damage if overworked. Stoppit.

Config stuff

Added config to toggle new biome
Added config to replace vanilla plains with new Prairie biome
Added config for max herd size (by the way. You can delete entire herds by sneak-clicking the stallion or matriarch with the spawn lasso)

Fixed inaccessible wagon inventories
Fixed horses not dropping tack on death
Fixed vehicles not dropping vehicle item on destruction
Fixed maneuvering on horseback to not hijack moveEntity()
Fixed horses taking damage from riders (arrows, throwables, direct hits)
Fixed lasso’d animals not following up one block
Fixed arrows fired from cart hitting the cart

Edits

Added train-stopping failsafe to driver bailing/dying. After losing the rider, trains will gradually slow to a stop.
Added freelook button (Key F) for riding on horseback. Freelook toggles steering the horse via mouse or aswd keys
Edited horse speeds
Edited frequency of wild horse breeding, as well as lowered the possible number of foals born each time
